The new Samsung SCH-U710 is one of the first cell phone that has a dual hinge clam shell so it can be flipped up like a normal phone, or be flipped sideways like the Sidekick or some of the other “gaming cell phones” The phone is also expected to have a massive 3.2 mega pixel camera and is the second phone that we have reported this week to have a camera of over 2 mega pixels. The phone also features a microSD slot as well as external music controls and BlueTooth, but the only downside is the unusually small QWRTY keypad.

We have talked about the T-Mobile Dash a few times here at Movable Phone, and now the Dash is finally available. The Dash retails at just under $200 after $150 in rebates.
The Dash is definitely not you corporate executive PDA and has a fairly unique shape that makes it a perfect fit for those who are younger and have a little bit more money to spend on a cell phone that they can use to surf the web and e-mail or organize all of the important information they need.
The Dash runs on Windows Mobile 5.0, but the only downside is a measly 1.3 mega pixel camera.

When Sony makes cell phones, they usually tend to use the Sony Ericsson brand. However, the new Sony Bravia tends to be one of the few “Sony only” phones that has been produced.
The Bravia is a nice phone and combines all of the best of the electronic company. It features a 3.2-megapixel camera with image stabilization as well as 45 hour lifetime for its Walkman phone.
The phone can be best defined as a mix of the Sony Cybershot Camera, their famous walkmans, the Bravia high definition television screen, and a cell phone. No release date or price information yet, but you can expect this phone to be expensive.

The new Verizon G’zOne plays itself on being a tough phone that can withstand the harshest of conditions and is fit for military use. The phone is waterproof and one can take pictures or buy a ring tone while swimming, and can withstand winds of up to 40 miles per hour and temperatures as high as 140 degrees F.
The phone also features a solid 2.2 inch color display and a 2 mega pixel camera. The phone is not yet available but is expected to sell at just under $300 when first released. The only major downside, no MP3 player or much of any other entertainment features that have become common in cell phones over the past year.

T-Mobile has just announced that they have teamed up with Ami James, the tattoo artist on Miami Ink, to create a new set of tattooed MOTORAZRs. There have been multiple variations of “tattooed RAZR’s” in the past (custom graphics that look like tattoos on the outer body of the RAZR), but these latest models come for the dark gray and pink versions of the RAZR. You can either choose to get the “Dark Dragon” tattoo for the Gray RAZR or the “Cherry Blossom” for the Pink RAZR. These are only available through T-Mobile.

The San Francisco City Government has just implemented a new program where people can voluntarily sign up and get up to the minute information about any impending earthquake, or other natural disaster. The program will also instruct subscribers on what to do in case of an attack and to the best of my knowledge, there is no charge for this program.
The San Francisco area and California as a whole is known for earthquakes and there have been multiple major earthquakes in the area over the past century.

Over the past few years cell phones have been everything from TV recorders, to MP3 Players, to cameras and video recorders and everything in between. Now we can add one more to that list, mirrors. The new Senko ScreenMirror is a reflective surface that you can attach to your cell phone screen and then, when your backlight is turned off, your cell phones instantly becomes a mirror. When your backlight is on, the mirror is not visible. The only downside? The cost. Each one of these retails at around $20.

Today, LG made a major announcement saying that the much anticipated KB6100 cell phone will not only allow you to watch television, but also serve as a video recorder and save the shows that you want to watch later. In short, TIVO for your cell phone is finally here. The cell also features EVDO, an MP3 Player, a 1.3 megapixel camera, and more.
The phone is currently only available in the Korean market but it is expected that it may come to the United States in the near future. Currently, television can only be watched using a wireless digital broadcast via Korea’s T-DMB network.

There had originally been some question regarding whether or not the FCC would approve the Motorola RIZR but doubt and speculation has been put to rest with an announcement today that the RIZR would be approved. The RIZR features a 2 mega pixel camera, stereo Bluetooth, a MicroSD memory card slot, and more. The RIZR is a slide phone and there has been no information regarding the price or the exact release date. However, the phone is likely to be available by the Holiday Season or early in 2007.

Small, thin phones are currently in high demand and manufacturers continue to come out with smaller and smaller phones. Just today, Haier introduced its newest cell phone the Haier Black Pearl. The Black Pearl is one of the smallest ever created and is about the size of the average adult index and middle finger. The phone may be small, but it is also packed with features including a full MP3 Player with a FM Tuner, Stereo Bluetooth, a OLED Screen, and much more. No pricing or release date has been publicly released.
